I’ve always had a deep passion for expressing myself through art. The adage, “One picture is worth a thousand words” has deeply resonated with me, as I see my artistic pursuits essentially as a form of storytelling with the goal of making a positive impact on the world around me. I know that to ignite change it is vital to affect people on an emotional level and I believe the best way to do that is through the power of the image. My artistic endeavors are fueled by my love of the environment and social justice. I believe in the power of combining the disciplines of art and science to create change by captivating people’s hearts and minds to raise awareness about global and environmental issues, and to help people see themselves as part of the solution. My art has been featured in the Santa Paula Museum of Art, been awarded two Silver Keys from Scholastic Arts and Writing, and has been acknowledged in the Karen Bass Congressional Arts Competition.
